June 27, 2011 It's Coffee on Crown's 1st Birthday! To celebrate turning 1 this July we'll have some extra special treats in store - What could be a better match for an italian style espresso than some fresh biscotti or sicilian style cannoli? June 3, 2011 From June 4 - 10, Coffee on Crown will be participating in Sip for Samaritans! From this Saturday, 20 cents from every hot beverage purchased will go towards the Samaritans Winter Appeal, plus you'll go into the draw to win a $1200 Saeco coffee machine, kindly donated by Domayne! Jan 17, 2011 We will be trialling some later opening hours this week! This Tuesday 18th, Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th we will be open and pumping out shots of rich creamy espresso until 6:30pm! This coincides with the NRAG's Six Summer Flicks at the Greater Union Cinemas on Hunter Street (you can view the movies & session times online here (PDF), or drop in to the cafe for a flyer with all the details). So be sure to take advantage of the great weather and the fantastic movies on offer and plan an evening out in Newcastle this January!
Dec 23, 2010 We want to wish all our customers a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year! Coffee on Crown will be closed for the Christmas and New Year public holidays (Dec 25, 27 & 28 and Jan 1 & 3) but trading regular hours every other day over the holiday period. Come down to beautiful shady Crown Street if you need a bit of time out over the break!
Dec 14, 2010 The Newcastle Street Music Festival is on from 10 - 23 December 2010. Organized by Adrian Quinn and Shannon Byrne, with loads of things happening all around town. Drop into Coffee on Crown to pick up a brochure and find out more! Plus We will be open this Friday evening (17th Dec) and hosting two acts - from 5:30pm catch the Epique Flute Quartet, followed by a comedy debate "Is busking begging?" Should be a fantastic evening!
